Empowering
Solid Money Foundation (SMF) is a social enterprise whose mission is to empower, educate, equip, and elevate all people in their finances. Our vision is to provide a roadmap to economic stability and security for low-income families, the marginalized, single parents, young adults, and the underemployed- the majority of the people who are not included or have no access to relevant financial literacy. We recognize that one size does not fit all -people have various incomes, economic challenges, and circumstances that often complicate their financial journeys. Therefore, identifying where our members, participants, or clients are is crucial before setting a road map to their financial goals.
Supporting
SMF collaborates with other organizations to support participants to bridge from poverty to stability, from stability to security, and cross from one financial point to another- filling the gaps that often keep people in cycles of poverty. SMF works with individuals and organizations, employers and employees, learning institutions like colleges, after-school programs, community centers to bring needed relevant financial literacy for all people.
Financial Freedom
We don’t stop there; our children are our future, which means we offer practical and supplementary financial literacy programs for children K-12 and young adults. SMF is about simplifying money concepts for all people. We encourage our youth to grasp winning money principles and habits early because it helps offset many headaches in the future and often translates to financial freedom, changing economic legacies, peace of mind, and wealth building. Children need to learn how to handle their finances early to fail early; when the consequences are not dire, eventually they can manage their finances with confidence and tremendous success.
